Ordering


  • How do I place an order?
    • Depending on whether you are uploading a custom image or purchasing from one of our artists, ordering is relatively the same. For artwork from our gallery you need only click on the artist you want from our artist's page navigate to the product you want, select the options you desire then add it to cart. For custom images you can go to our print and framer. If you don't know how to use the print and framer you can follow our step by step instructions. You are able to order both your own custom artwork and our gallery art in the same session. When you are finished adding your custom pieces and/or gallery artwork to the cart you can click on checkout and proceed to follow the instructions to place your order.
  • How do I apply a promotional code?
    • Promotion codes can be applied in the cart. Simply navigate to cart in the top right of the screen and once clicked underneath the items in the cart is a box named promotion code. Simply fill in your promotion code and click update discount. You will see the total and above you should see discount. If your promotion code is valid the discount will update to the products in the cart and the discount number will change (i.e -5.00) and your subtotal will also change. Promotion codes can also be applied in the initial add to cart functionality (i.e you are purchasing a print only canvas or other product from the custom framer). It is however, easier to apply promotion codes at the end of an order before checking out.


Policies


  • Is this site secure?
    • This site uses a secure sockets layer certificate (SSL Ceritifcate) to encrypt data on the login page and checkout page so all passwords and credit card information are protected, making it so that all important information undergoes encryption. This is done to prevent criminals from accessing your data and provides much needed security. It should be noted that websites that do not use SSL or other forms of encryption on checkout or login pages should NOT be trusted. On the checkout page of any website you should be able to see in the URL (address bar) a green lock (on both firefox and chrome) to denote that the page is secured and data is being encrypted before being sent out. Note: the entire site can utilize the SSL certificate if in the address bar you initially type https:// instead of http:// however with extra encryption on all pages, load times may take longer which is why SSL is only mandated by us on pages that utilize personal or confidential information.
  • What is your return policy?
    • Orders can be returned within 30 days if the customer was issued an incorrect product (incorrect being a product that does not match the order submitted by the customer) for a full refund (not including return shipping cost). Refunds will not be issued for customers who changed their minds about sizing after receiving the product, used the product for an event and wish to return afterwards (i.e 4th of July posters or other such holiday prints). If a customer changes their mind about sizing before the item ships they can always cancel the order and reorder or contact us. If the order has been shipped and the customer has changed their mind about sizing they can contact us to discuss potential replacements or replacements at a discounted price.

 

  • What should I be aware of regarding copyrights?
    • What is a Copyright?
      • A Copyright gives its owner the right to copy, distribute, publicly display or create derivative works from the original work. A copyright also gives its owner the right to license those rights to others.
    • How do I know if my photograph is protected by copyright?
      • A photograph is copyright protected from the moment it is created. This means that even if you purchase a print or digital file from your photographer, you still need to talk to them about making reproductions from that item.
    • How long does a copyright last?
      • For photography or artwork the copyright lasts for the duration of the artist/photographer's lifetime plus an additional 70 years.
    • Things to remember about copyright:

      • Purchasing a print or digital file from your photographer does not mean you have purchased the copyright.
      • Under the Federal Copyright Act of 1976, photographs are protected by copyright from the moment of creation.
      • Unless you have permission from the photographer, you can’t copy, distribute (scans and emails included), publicly display (even online), or create derivative works from photographs (prints or other such replication).
      • Professional photographers are dependent on their ability to control the reproduction of the photographs they create and by replicating or reselling their artwork you are infringing upon the rights of the artist.
 

Canvas Options


  • What sizes can my canvas be?
    • Canvas sizing varies depending on rolled versus stretched. Currently our rolled canvas is from 8"x8" to 59"x84" (Note: if width and height are flipped aka your image is 84x59 you can click under the uploaded image the little arrows to rotate your image so that it can then go to those larger sizes). Stretched canvas sizing is currently from 8"x8" to 48"x48" and can be also be framed.
  • What is the difference between wrap types?
    • Wrap types determine what is going to be pulled over the stretcher bars. Currently we offer 3 different wrap types: Black, White, and Mirror. A black wrap will mean that there is an extra 3/4 inch or 1 1/2 inch (depending on what you choose) of black printed around the perimeter of the print for stretching. With a white wrap it is the same thing only with white around the perimeter. A mirrored wrap will reflect the last 3/4 or 1 1/2 inches of the print around the perimeter so that when stretched the print will show the full image that was uploaded and the portion pulled over the stretcher bars will look like a continuation of your image without actually taking away from the full image that was initially meant to be displayed.

Image Prep Before Upload


  • What if something is wrong with my image or order?
    • If you ordered the wrong print please contact us ASAP. The sooner you contact us the better. You can cancel your order and reorder with the proper imaging or sizes. You will want to let us know before we print and ship out your image. After your image has been shipped out it will be much more difficult for replacement. If we get in contact with you before printing and shipment then it isn't an issue but especially with large prints after printing and shipment it gets much more complicated as far as returning and replacing products so the sooner you recognize a mistake and get in touch with us the better it is for everyone. 
  • I'm being told my image is too small, what do I do?
    • If you're being told that your image is too small there are a few things that you can do. If you resized your original photo to a smaller size you can always take the original and resave it at a higher size and resolution. If your photo is naturally that small then we suggest careful consideration before resizing as quality will not be carried over at larger sizes. If you have photoshop you can adjust the size and resolution of your image by going to Image>Image Size (ctl+shift+I) then, making sure proportions are constrained, you can resize you image to make it larger. We recommend a bare minimum resolution of 72 pixels per inch but would prefer 150 or 300 (for upscaled images 72 will work as resolution does not matter upon upscaling only downscaling). Upscaling images does NOT make them better as far as quality is concerned. Just because the resolution is now higher, it did not come from the original photo and so the current small photo while now appearing larger is going to print at the same quality of the smaller image however it will now be able to be uploaded to our custom framer. To check and see the quality at the print size you can go to view>print size and it should zoom in on photoshop to the size it will be printed on. There are other methods of resizing images online if you do not have photoshop. You can always google resize image online and then choose a site to upload and then resize and redownload the image (be careful what sites you choose for this, we do not take responsibility for any damages caused from other sites).
  • Can I adjust my image after uploading?
    • After you have uploaded an image to our custom framer you are able to make adjustments such as cropping and rotation of the image or reupload. If you've made an account and uploaded in the past you can access those images from your gallery and then choose them for upload.
